New Global: co-creating frugal and reverse innovations

Water & Development Research Group is part of the Tekes-funded New Global project that aims to co-create frugal and reverse innovations in complex global systems.

The world needs hands-on solutions for “wicked problems”, including deprivation of natural resources, climate change and poverty. To provides such solutions, the New Global project develops new business innovations for sustainable well-being, with focus on resource-scarce communities. The case studies led by Water & Development Research Group focus on water innovations in Africa.

New Global is an action research and innovation project that is led by a multidisciplinary research team including researchers from Aalto School of Business (BIZ), School of Science (SCI) and School of Engineering (ENG). More information: http://newglobal.aalto.fi
